I’m a little fucking annoyed that people on my dash are blaming Gabriel for Sam being tortured by Lucifer. Like that if Gabriel had helped them back in Season 5, that Sam wouldn’t have been tortured.

Yes, Gabriel ran away and he hid. Yes, he could have given them a hand with stuffing Lucifer back in the box, but what happened after he walked away is completely out of his control. He didn’t push Sam into the cage, He didn’t trick him into saying yes to Lucifer, all he did was give them a piece of the puzzle and walk away. Yes, that wasn’t the best that he could have done, Yes, it was a shitty move, but he had no way of knowing that they would get Lucifer into the cage in Sam’s body.

It wasn’t Gabriel’s fault. He didn’t know what was going to be their plan. Disagree with his choice all you want, but what he did no where equates to him being in any way responsible for what happened to Sam.

The only person who is responsible for Sam being tortured by Lucifer is LUCIFER.
